Same home, same host, same standards. The only difference is what sits between us: nothing.
How the pricing actually works
On VRBO and Booking.com, a guest service fee is added on top of the nightly rate at checkout. It is a visible line item, typically 10 to 20 percent of the booking, and it goes to the platform. Booking the same dates here removes that line entirely.
Airbnb works differently. There is no guest fee line to remove because Airbnb now charges its commission to hosts, and that cost is built into the nightly rate you see there. So our direct rates are simply set below the Airbnb rate for the same dates.
Either way, the result is the same: for any set of dates, the rate on this site is the best available. You can verify it yourself in another tab. We encourage it.
What else changes when you book direct
- You deal with the owner. Questions before, during, and after your stay go straight to Andrew, not a platform support queue. Guests mention this in reviews more than any amenity.
- Returning guests skip ID verification. If you have stayed before, rebooking takes about two minutes.
- Nothing else is different. Same calendar, same homes, same cleaning standard, same cancellation policy: full refund 30 or more days before check-in.
